The Eastern League Roundtripper: 2/25

Eastern League baseballs

BOpening Night

The home opener for Altoona is going to be a special night as the Curve will honor and celebrate the life of their longtime bat boy, Bo Forney, who passed away in early February. The planned events for the evening are a moment of silence in Bo’s honor, the Forney family throwing out the ceremonial first pitch, and a silent auction with all proceeds benefitting the American Heart Association.

“Bo has been an inspiration to many with the way he lived,” said Curve GM Rob Egan. “He had the rare ability to make anybody who came in contact with him feel better. Bo was such a positive person, loved life, and truly enjoyed people. We miss him deeply and look forward to celebrating his life on BOpening Night and throughout the season.”

Richmond’s Promo Schedule

The Flying Squirrels released their promotional schedule and some of the highlights are the Brandons Bobblehead featuring the likeness of both Brandon Belt and Brandon Crawford, a Parker Piggy Bank, their annual Tribute to the Peanut, and the return of the Human Cannonball to The Diamond.
