Last season the Nationals entered a mid-June series with the Blue Jays after sweeping the Red Sox as part of a five series swing against AL East opponents. The series with Toronto will probably be best remembered for the now infamous Bryce Harper “That’s a clown question, bro” response to a Canadien reporter.

But something else happened during the Nationals’ 6-2 win in the last game of that series that was both unique and monumental in the history of the organization. The game marked the first and only time since the team moved from Montreal in 2005 that the entire starting lineup ever consisted of players that had all previously worn the Harrisburg Senators uniform.

Steve Lombardozzi LF
Bryce Harper RF
Ryan Zimmerman 3B
Mike Morse DH
Ian Desmond SS
Danny Espinosa 2B
Tyler Moore 1B
Rick Ankiel CF
Jesus Flores C
Stephen Strasburg P

Admittedly, three of the players played with Harrisburg as part of rehab assignments but the day should still stand as a grand moment in the Senators history and their place in the success of the Nationals.
