Trading Card Friday: Al Chambers

Al Chambers

Al Chambers displayed a dizzying combination of power and speed during his scholastic career at Harrisburg High School prior to his selection by the Seattle Mariners with the first overall pick of the 1979 draft.

The Harrisburg native made his MLB debut on July 23rd, 1983 and would go on to hit two home runs in his brief 57-game major league career.

This Sunday marks Chambers’ 52nd birthday.
