• Ryan Tatusko (2010-13) starts a new chapter in his career tomorrow when he’s slated to take the mound for the Hanwha Eagles.
• Still stuck in DFA purgatory, odds are probably good that Roger Bernadina (2007-08) will accept his outright assignment to Triple-A Louisville (as he previously did in early May).
• Brad Coon (2010) was selected to be inducted into the Trevecca Nazarene University Athletic Hall of Fame where he was a NAIA All-American center fielder during his time at the school. “Being inducted into the Trevecca Hall of Fame is a great honor,” Coon told the athletic department, “With the support of great teammates and the guidance of Coach Forehand, I was able to play the game at a high level and represent Trevecca in a positive way.”
• Congratulations go out to Michael Taylor (2014) who was named to the U.S. roster for the MLB Futures Game, which will be held on July 13 at Target Field in Minnesota two days prior to the MLB All-Star Game.
• With a scoreless inning of relief on Sunday, Pat McCoy (2011-13) became the 68th former Senator since 2005 to make his MLB debut.
• This past Saturday’s Annual United Cerebral Palsy/Harrisburg Senators Sports Memorabilia Auction netted $46,000 bringing the 28-year total for the event up to $1.8 million. The top item was an autographed baseball by Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig that fetched $5,535.
