Top MLB Plays of 2015 by former Senators

You know it’s the slow days of the off-season when you anticipate shows on MLB Network that are little more than glorified highlights of 2015.

But, here we are anyway. The broadcasting arm of the Major Leagues debuted their Capital One Premier Top 100 Plays of the Year a couple of weeks ago and I finally got around to watching it during the holiday weekend.

A number of former Senators made the cut, and I thought I would do a post with all of the plays (just click on the image to start the video on the MLB page).

Billy Burns’ amazing catch

Derek Norris’ walk-off grand slam

Michael Taylor go-ahead grand slam on first career at-bat with the bases loaded

Brandon Phillips’ backflip double-play

And again…

And again, but this time just to nab the lead runner

Anthony Rendon and Felipe Rivero team up for more than a routine 3-4-1 putout
