Adrián Sanchez (2014-17, 2019) – .260/.310/.354, 319 G, 126 R, 108 RBI, 53 2B, 5 3B, 11 HR, 27 SB)

Perhaps no one exemplifies the Nationals’ minor league system of the 2010s quite like Adrián Sanchez. The 28-year-old has played in over 1,000 minor league games for the Nationals as he has become a symbol of determination and perseverance.

The other word that comes to mind for Sanchez is versatility.

The Venezuelan can, and has, played all over the diamond. During his five seasons with the Senators, Sanchez has played third base 158 times, second base 99, shortstop 53, and left field 9 times.

And not just played there, but he has done so at the highest level defensively. Sanchez has regularly been regarded as one of the best defensive players in the Nationals’ organization.

Living life always with a smile, it’s tough not to root for Sanchie.
