Congratulations to Tyler Moore and Brad Peacock who were selected as members of the 2011 Eastern League All-Star Team.
Moore was chosen as the top first baseman in the league in a season in which he currently leads the league in home runs, runs batted in, total bases, and extra-base hits. Other accolades previously garnered this season by the 24-year old Mississippi native were being named as the EL Player of the Week for a period in late May and chosen as the starting first baseman for the Western Division in this year’s EL All-Star Game.
Peacock was chosen as the top right-handed starter in the league for his dominating season before being promoted to Triple-A Syracuse. During his 16 appearances for Harrisburg, Peacock compiled a 10-2 record and at the time of his promotion led the league in wins, strikeouts, WHIP, and batting average against. Also this season, the 23-year old from Florida was named as the EL Pitcher of the Week twice, represented the Senators at the EL All-Star Game, and was selected as a member of the U.S. Team at the Futures Game.
